Medical compressed air system upgrades.
We recently completed a major upgrade of the medical air and suction systems for a hospital located in the Central Tablelands of NSW.
After 25+ years of solid operation, the hospital’s old Compair compressors and vacuum pumps were ready for retirement. To accommodate the client’s requirements, we recommended new, state-of-the-art, Compair oil-free scroll compressors for the medical air system. The hospital suction was provided by a new Gardner Denver, 3 pump vacuum station.
The system was also complemented with new receiver tanks, dryers and filtration, along with new interconnecting piping and valve systems.
Installation completed was certified per AS 2896-2011 Medical Gas Systems – Installation & Testing.
Additionally, we designed, supplied and installed a customised medical air and vacuum system monitoring and alarm panel with integrated power metering for the new equipment
The installation was completed in stages to ensure the hospital was never without medical air or vacuum. This is vitally important to support both wards and theatre operation.
This medical air compressor and suction system upgrade was delivered on time and on budget whilst supporting a vital piece of community infrastructure
